The Fellowship in Nursing Economics (FINE) educates the next generation of nursing leaders in the economic power and influence of nursing care—equipping them to engage in reimbursement, payment reform, and healthcare system decision-making.
Through applied learning, expert mentorship, and project-based work, FINE helps nursing leaders translate clinical expertise into economic insight that informs policy, strengthens healthcare sustainability, and advances the value of nursing across care settings.
Applications for the next Cohort open January 7–January 30, 2026. The Fellowship will begin in April 2026.
Applicants are required to submit a completed application, personal statement, current CV, and two letters of recommendation, along with a $75 non-refundable application fee.

Applicants should have at least 2 years of professional experience in nursing, healthcare leadership, health administration, finance, operations, or related healthcare roles. Practical experience is essential, as the Fellowship focuses on applied economics and real-world policy challenges.
FINE seeks professionals who demonstrate a commitment to professional growth and the potential to influence nursing practice, organizational decision-making, or healthcare policy. Applicants should be motivated to apply economic insight to leadership and system change.
Fellows must have reliable internet access, a working camera, and the ability to create documents and presentations using standard digital tools. These requirements support active participation in live sessions, collaborative work, and capstone development.
Tuition for Cohort 2 is $2,500 and supports a rigorous Fellowship focused on nursing economics, reimbursement, and system-level leadership. The program is intentionally small and selective to ensure depth of engagement and meaningful impact.
